Jokowi: RI's Economy Can Minus Up to 5 Percent in the Second Quarter

President Jokowi talked about the economic conditions in Indonesia which worsened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  He even mentioned that in the second quarter of this year, the economy was minus 5 percent.

 "Indonesia in the first quarter is still a plus, previously we were 5 percent, in the first quarter 2020 it was 2.97 percent. But in the second quarter we have fallen minus, we have to say what we can be minus 4.3 percent to minus 5," Jokowi said in  State Palace, Thursday (7/23).

 But that does not mean there is no effort made by the government.  Jokowi emphasized that he was doing various ways to improve it, such as giving relaxation to business people.

 "I also order to quickly give the name of relaxation, give restructuring to SMEs and cooperatives as soon as possible so as not to be affected by the slowing world economic growth because 215 countries are equally affected by the COVID pandemic, hit by the economic crisis, exactly," he said.

 Not only that, a number of other assistance was given to help the community due to the corona virus pandemic.  In particular, increasing purchasing power can improve economic conditions.  The result, has begun to provide good change.
